Young ClimbersThe Lakeland Climbing Centre offers a wide range of clubs and sessions for youngsters who want to climb regularly. We have sessions which will appeal to all ages and abilities. Our qualified instructors design the sessions to be as fun and as interesting as possible and to engage and excite each individuals interest in climbing. We can take young people on a climbing journey from complete beginner to experienced climber both indoors at the Kendal Wall and outdoors in the crags of the Lake District! We also offer the NICAS Scheme which teaches great technical skills to a national standard. Geckos 1
Fun climbing for 6 to 10 year olds every Saturday at 11.00am - 12.15pm. Additional session Thursday morning during school holidays. Taster SessionIf you would like to have a go at climbing and you are aged at least 8 years old then why not book onto our Taster Sessions? Geckos 2Basic skills instruction for 8 - 14 year olds. Previous climbing experience preferential but not essential. Geckos 3Intro session for 14+ year olds and experienced 12 - 14 year olds. After School ClubsThe after school club is an excellent way to get involved in the world of climbing. Climbing has its roots in the Lake District so what better place to start climbing. It’s a fun activity that is very rewarding and our low ratios and qualified staff ensure a safe and rapid introduction to climbing. Tuesdays: Primary School Night 4.00pm - 5.30pm (minimum age 7 years) Thursdays: Secondary School Night 4.00pm - 5.30pm (11 - 18 year olds) Young Climbers ClubA club for 14 - 17 year old experienced climbers. Rock SkoolHalf day of climbing indoors during the school holidays, ideal for keen young climbers to improve their skills. |
