Kendal Wall Cafe

We know you’ll want to visit us to enjoy the first class climbing facilities we have on offer, but we’re also keen that whilst you're with us you enjoy first class food & drink too in our Creamery Café. That’s why we’ve carefully selected our suppliers to ensure they live up to our standards for good, honest, delicious food.

Freshly Ground Coffee & Fair-trade Tea

Our coffee is supplied by Farrers, one of the oldest independent blenders & roasters of fine teas & coffee. Based here in Kendal we think this coffee is hard to beat. We offer the full range from a small but mighty espresso to a big mocha (made with fair-trade hot chocolate) to idle away a wet afternoon with.

Sandwiches

Our sandwiches are freshly prepared using white and cracked wheat rolls from ‘More? The Artisan Bakery’ just up the road, fillings vary but will often include: Hummous, tomato & rocket; honey roast ham & cheese; Lake District mature cheddar & salad; and tuna mayonnaise & sweetcorn.

Soups

At peak periods we offer a hot soup of the day made locally by 'Wilf's of Staveley', served with a roll from 'More?'.  Perfect sustenance on a climbing day!

Delicious Cakes

All our cakes are made locally both by ‘Wilf’s' of Staveley and ‘Ginger Bakers’.  Ginger Bakers is a small Kendal-based company making delicious cake by hand with good quality ingredients, attention to detail & free-range eggs.

Our range of cakes includes, chocolate brownie, raspberry blondie, pecan caramel shortbread, flapjack, orange & cardamom cake & more besides.

Ice Cream

Kendal based English Lakes Ice Cream has been making luxury ice cream for over 20 years. Made using local organic milk we think it’s the ultimate in ice cream. We stock a range of flavours including double jersey vanilla & death by chocolate.
