Birthday Parties at the Lakeland Climbing Centre

Try something fun and adventurous;  take your birthday party to new heights with us.

You'll be the envy of all your friends when you book a party with a difference in our brand new Climbing Den, which delivers pure excitement for the kids, whilst the Creamery Cafe provides a stress free zone for mum and dad! We offer a variety of fun packed climbing party packages for children aged 5 to 17 years, including catering where required. Package One

A) For children 8 years and upwards (up to 9 children*)

A 1.5 hours climbing experience, which is fully supervised by our qualified staff.  Includes equipment hire and party invitations.  No food.

Cost: £100

*if you require a bigger party size, there's an option of booking additional children (£12.00 each, minimum 3 extra) or simply booking a double or triple party at £200 or £300 for up to 18 and 27 respectively.

B) For children 5  to 7 years (up to 6 children*)

A 1 hour climbing experience, which is fully supervised by our qualified staff.  Includes equipment hire and party invitations.  No food.

Cost: £70

*if you require a bigger party size, there's an option of booking additional children (£12.00 each, minimum 3 extra) or simply booking a double or triple party at £140 or £210 for up to 12 and 18 respectively.

Package Two

As PACKAGE ONE but with the addition of the La Sportiva Room for 1 hour following the climbing session at a charge of £15.  You can cater the party yourself and the room is large enough to play party games etc.  CD and DVD player available.


Package Three

The full monty birthday package with climbing, party room and food!

A) For children 8 years and upwards (up to 9 children*)

Cost: £150

*if you require a bigger party size, there's an option of booking additional children (£17.00 each, minimum 3 extra) or simply booking a double or triple party at £300 or £450 for up to 18 and 27 respectively.

B) For children 5 to 7 years (up to 6 children*)

A 1 hour climbing experience, which is fully supervised by our qualified staff.  Includes equipment hire, party invitations, climbing certificate and party tea.

Who are climbing parties suitable for?

Children who want to have a fun and exciting birthday with their friends. The minimum age is 5 years old.

What do we get to do?

Climbing supervised by our experienced staff on the climbing walls and bouldering areas. The children will have the opportunity to try traversing, climbing on different angled walls with ropes, and take part in a variety of different games. If you wish to include a party tea this will follow on from the climbing and will be held in our party room.

Which days and times can be booked for a climbing party?

Birthday Parties run on Saturday and Sundays at 10.00am and 3.00pm as well as on Wednesday and Friday afternoons at 4.00pm.  Other times may be available so do enquire even if these times do not suit.

Is there anything else we need to know about booking a climbing party?

Please note payment is required at the time of booking. Each child attending a session must have a consent form completed by either parent or legal guardian before participating, these can be downloaded by the organiser prior to the party date by navigating from our Information page or download here so that they can be presented at reception on arrival.

What is included in the party lunch/tea?

Ham, tuna and cheese sandwiches, crisps, cocktail sausages, breadsticks, carrot sticks, grapes, a variety of cakes and biscuits and jugs of orange and blackcurrant squash.  Pizza delivery can be arranged if preferred but will incur an additional charge as they are not prepared on site.
