Scarpa Boostic

Scarpa Boostic

The superb new top end from Scarpa is now in stock at the Kendal Wall Shop

This great shoe uses the Vibram XS Edge rubber which gives greater edging capabilities. As you can see the shoe has a down turned last making sure your toes are pushed to the end. Over the Lorica toe section there is an extra rubber patch allowing 'drag friction' on the top section of the shoe.

Marmot VB Bouldering Circuit

Bouldering for everyone

In the Marmot Loft we have created the Marmot VB Circuit. This circuit has been designed as user friendly bouldering circuit for those who have not yet been enticed into the dark art of bouldering or to dispell the myth that bouldering is elitist. We have been honoured to have some guest setters from Marmot, including the redoubtable Mick Ryan from UKC.

May Diary

May is traditionally our quietest month, many have cabin fever and are keen to get out, some of you have been on a trip to sunnier climes and are hoping for dry rock somewhere. So the wall can often be quite quiet - having said that with the inclement weather we have had recently, I know somewhere nice and dry - Kendal Wall!

Lakeland Climbing Centre Photo Competition

Budding Photographers Wanted

We want inspirational photographs of climbs and crags in the Lake District to be put on display in the Lakeland Climbing Centre. These photos can cover a range of subjects within our world of climbing, from those taking their first steps in the sport, winter climbing on Scafell, running it out on some trad horror; anything that will make the viewer look on in awe or inspire them to get out there and try that route. Any photos provided will also be made available to the Fell and Rock Climbing Club for use in any future publications.
