CEO Becomes VP of BMC!

Posted in Monthly Diary

Kate seen here on a recent trip to Kalymnos

Kate Phillips our very own CEO (boss person) at the Lakeland Climbing Centre has become one of the newly elected Vice Presidents at the British Mountaineering Council.

Kate has been very busy spearheading the recent redevelopment of the Kendal Wall but will find time in her very busy calender to help with certain issues that are close to her heart.

Kate wants to ensure that the BMC remains part of the climbing culture and that it is relevant to the new climbers of today, a similar philosophy that is held at the Lakeland Climbing Centre. Organisations such as the BMC are there to encourage the youth of today and create opportunities for them to discover the the delights of trad, sport, bouldering, winter, or alpine climbing.

Our congratulations go to Kate.
