Tier 2 & Face Coverings update

Wearing a face covering/mask is now mandatory in all areas of the Centre apart from the café when actually climbing or seated to eat and drink.

Tier 2 Government guidance states that you should only mix indoors (including gyms) with a person from your own household or support bubble. The simple interpretation of this for our centre is please stay 2m+ away from everyone at all times (while wearing masks as above).

This means that on the mats in the bouldering areas, please put your mask on between climbs if you are taking a break, however short. This is the new ABC (Association of British Climbing Walls) guidance.

When roped climbing you and your partner may want to try climbing or belaying wearing a mask, but you must risk assess this for yourself and decide whether it is safe (make sure you can communication adequately).

With infection rates rising we need to continually review our Covid-Secure measures and do everything we can to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

Remember:

#Hands – wash and sanitise regularly

#Face – wear a mask to protect yourself and others

#Space – practice social distancing whilst climbing
