WHY BOOK MY CLIMB?
Because the number of people we can have in the Centre is now limited, you may want to book your space to make sure you can climb at the Centre. We tend to be busier at weekends and evenings, especially if the weather is bad. Booking will reserve you 2 hours in the Centre. Bookings cost £1 per person on top of your usual entrance fee. Please note you will need to book every person who is coming to climb/ belay/ participate e.g. 2 adults and 2 children, not just one person for the group.
To make a booking to climb in the daytime, please select ‘GENERAL ENTRY’.
For the winter evenings you will now be able to reserve entry to either the Loft & Green Room or the Main Hall in the evening; there will be two sets of bookable entry times, 6-8pm and 8-10pm every weeknight.
When you book there will be three options:
- General Entry (No Specified Area)
- Loft and Green Room (12+ Bouldering)
- Main Hall (Roped Climbing)
General Entry – guarantees you 2 hours at the wall and enables you to use any part of the wall where there is space to do so and you can move around the Centre. (Those booking Main Hall or Loft will have priority in those areas over a general booking.) Please note when the Loft or Main Hall are fully booked, which is often the case in the evenings, you may be restricted to the Chamber, Den, Tool Box & Training Room)
Marmot Loft & Green Room (weekday EVENINGS only)
This guarantees you 2 hours in the Loft & Green Room (12+ Bouldering). You can use other areas outside of your 2 hour slot, such as the Den or Training Room if there is room.
Main Hall (weekday EVENINGS only)
This guarantees you 2 hours in the Main Hall (Roped Climbing). You can use other area outside of your 2 hour slot, such as the Chamber, Den or Training Room if there is room to do so.
This new booking system does mean that in the evenings, if the Centre is busy and you have booked a specific location you may be unable to change areas. You may also be asked to leave/ move to another part of the Centre at the end of your 2 hours. If at the end of your 2 hours the Centre is below capacity then you will be able to stay and climb in the Chamber, Den or Training Room. You will be able to arrive within 15 minutes either side of your booked slot, if you arrive early and the Centre is below capacity you will be able to start climbing in the Chamber, Den or Training Room.
