Marmot Masters 2019-20!

Round dates:

Round 1:  30th Sept – 8th December

Round 2:  9th December – 9th Feb

Round 3:  10th Feb – 19th March

Round 4:  Grand Finale! – 21st March

 

What is it?

The Marmot Masters is a bouldering competition based at the Lakeland Climbing Centre. It’s an amazing event which enables you to challenge yourself, engage with other climbers, and compete in a relaxed style! The competition is open to absolutely everyone, no matter your climbing ability!

When is it?

The competition starts on the 30th of September and features four rounds. The first three rounds will be hosted with an open style format, meaning you have just over a month to come in and try the boulders as many times as you’d like, whenever you’d like! The final round will be hosted as a grand finale, featuring great music, free pizza, amazing boulders, and awesome Marmot prizes!

How do I enter?

To enter all you need to do is grab a scorecard from reception at the start of each round for £1, fill it in under your own steam, and hand it back to us at the end of the round! Scorecards will be available from 6pm on the start date for the first three rounds.

Why should I enter?

You should enter to experience amazing problems, an awesome atmosphere, and for the chance to win great Marmot goodies from the raffle or competition prizes!

Format

Similarly to last year the series will feature 4 rounds. The first 3 rounds will be held in an open style format in which the competitor has over a month to complete as many boulders as possible, meaning you come can come and try them as many times as you’d like, whenever you’d like! The final round will be hosted as a Grand Finale.

To compete in each round all you need to do is grab a scorecard from Reception for £1! Scorecards are available from 6.00pm at the start of each round.  At the end of each round a prize raffle will take place featuring loads of fresh Marmot goodies, so make sure you get your scorecards in! Your scores are cumulative between the rounds with your lowest round score being dropped.
